Dr. Jusoh bin Awang Senik

Dr. Jusoh bin Awang Senik is a highly respected Consultant Family Medicine Specialist with extensive expertise in family medicine and community health. He was born on 29 January 1969 and originates from Pasir Mas, Kelantan. Dr. Jusoh presently resides in Kampung Tapang, Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

Dr. Jusoh obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from University Sains Malaysia (USM) in 1994 before completing his Master of Medicine in Family Medicine at the same university in 2001. He began his medical career as a House Officer at Hospital Seremban, Negeri Sembilan in 1994, after which he continued his service as a Medical Officer at Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II (HRPZ II) and Hospital Machang. Upon completing his postgraduate studies, he served as a Family Medicine Specialist at seven Health Clinics across the states of Kelantan and Sarawak between 2001 and the present day.

Dr. Jusoh currently serves as a Consultant Family Medicine Specialist (Jusa C) at Klinik Kesihatan Bandar Pasir Mas, Kelantan. Throughout his career, Dr. Jusoh has received the Excellent Service Award on four occasions (2007, 2010, 2017 and 2020) and was also honoured with the Kelantan State Excellent Medical Specialist Quality Award in 2007.

Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Jusoh is actively involved in both government and non-government organisations. He has served as the Chairman of the Kelantan branch of the Malaysian Leprosy Relief Association (MaLRA) since November 2023, Chairman of HRPZ II’s Psychiatry Board of Visitors (2020-Present), Chairman of the Sports and Charity Club of the Pasir Mas Health District Office (KESMAS), and Head of the Promotion Bureau of Persatuan Generasiku Sayang Kelantan (GKS). Previously, he held the position of Head of Family Medicine Specialists (FMS) Kelantan between 2013-2015 and served as a Committee Member of the Family Medicine Profession Malaysia (under the Ministry of Health, Malaysia) between 2020-2023.

During his leadership of MaLRA Kelantan, he has successfully implemented numerous welfare initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing of leprosy patients and their families in Kelantan while also establishing strong collaborative networks with multiple departments and agencies including
the Kelantan State Health Department, the Department of Dermatology, and the Social Welfare Department.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions and dedication to society and the State of Kelantan, Dr. Jusoh was conferred the Paduka Setia Darjah Kebesaran Seri Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Terbilang (Bintang Al-Ibrahimi III) (Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of the Loyalty to the Crown of Kelantan – the Star of Ibrahim, P.S.K.) in 2024 in conjunction with the 55th birthday of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kelantan.
